Who is a certified translator?

A certified  translator is an expert in the field of translation who has a government, state or federal authorization that entitles him/her to translate documents that are valid in formal procedures

 Legal, academic and certain commercial documents

What are the characteristics of certified translations?

All the pages are stamped with a valid folio by the PJEV, stamped, signed and initialed. They also include an official translator’s affidavit or «Certificate of Translation Accuracy» which includes all the contact information of the certified translator. This certificate comes with a stamp, signature and hologram.

In which countries are my translations valid?

In all of Mexico and in any English-speaking country. As well as certain European and Asian countries.

What is the delivery format?

Translations can be delivered either printed at Moro Corporativo or  sent by the courier service of your choice, please request  a quote. They can also be sent with a digital signature, which has the same validity as a wet signature.

Are my translations valid for processing with USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services)?

According to the Code of Federal Regulations, 8 CFR 103.2 (b) (3), «Any document containing a foreign language sent to USCIS must be accompanied by a complete English translation that the translator has certified as complete and accurate, and by the translator’s certification that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English.»

Do you perform educational equivalencies?

No, I am not authorized to perform credential evaluations, but if you need this service, I will be happy to provide you with the contact information of the agencies that provide this service.

Is it necessary to notarize translations?

No. As a certified translator by the Judicial Power of the State of Veracruz, my translations do not need to be certified by any other authority. 

What other languages do I translate into?

In addition to English and Spanish translations, I can offer you the service in French, German and Portuguese in a non-certified version.
